Purpose & Vision: The Meenakshi Sundararajan Innovation Incubation Center (MSIIC) is established with the vision to foster an environment where young minds can transform innovative ideas into reality, driving entrepreneurship and technological advancement. MSIIC aims to be a catalyst for creating sustainable business solutions and fostering collaborations between academia, industry, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.



MSIIC Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) :

  1. Fostering Innovation: MSIIC seeks to encourage and nurture innovative ideas that have the potential to create social, technological, or economic impact.
  2. Entrepreneurial Development: It provides essential resources such as mentorship, infrastructure, funding, and networking opportunities to students, researchers, and startups.
  3. Industry Collaboration: MSIIC serves as a bridge between academia and industry, ensuring that academic research and student projects meet real-world market needs.
  4. Skill Development & Capacity Building: The center aims to enhance the entrepreneurial and technical skill sets of students, faculty, and local entrepreneurs through workshops, training programs, and industry partnerships. A formal curriculum spanning across six semesters on EDI (Entrepreneurship Development & Innovation) is put in place and practice to nurture Start-Ups focusing on Innovative Products and Services with Societal, Industry and Campus Benefits.


MSIIC Stakeholders

  1. Board Members:
    • The Board of Directors plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic direction and governance of MSIIC. They bring a wealth of industry knowledge, academic expertise, and entrepreneurial insight.
    • Key responsibilities include approving policies, budgets, and partnerships, as well as ensuring that MSIIC’s activities align with its long-term goals.
  2. Management:
    • The Management team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and execution of MSIIC’s objectives. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, organizing events, providing mentorship, and handling administrative tasks.
    • Management ensures that resources are allocated efficiently, programs are executed effectively, and feedback from stakeholders is incorporated into future strategies.
  3. Industry Partners:
    • MSIIC collaborates with industry players to ensure that the startups nurtured at the center are addressing current challenges and are market-ready. These partnerships include mentoring, joint research, internship opportunities, and potential investment.
    • Industry partners provide insights into emerging trends, technological advancements, and potential commercial opportunities for student ventures.
  4. Students and Entrepreneurs:
    • The primary beneficiaries of MSIIC’s resources, students, and budding entrepreneurs, receive support through incubation programs that provide a range of services from idea validation to prototype development and business scaling.
    • The center helps students bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, enabling them to turn their academic projects or ideas into viable businesses.

    • Access to co-working spaces, laboratories, prototyping facilities, and meeting rooms to develop and refine innovative ideas. (With Industry Institute Interface, MS Institutions Support Infrastructure for Robotics, Cloud Computing, Full Stack Development, AI Augmented & Virtual Reality With Game Development, Azure, AWS, IOT, 5G, Renewable / Sustainability, EV & Manufacturing)
  2. Mentorship:
    • A strong network of mentors from academia, business, and industry to guide students and startups in various aspects of entrepreneurship. A detailed SOP for Mentoring is put in place with operationalization forms supported by Software Application Modules.
  3. Funding:
    • Opportunities for funding through grants, competitions, angel investors, and venture capital connections to support early-stage ventures. (Torque-X, MSEC Mechanical Engineering Team has the honor of being the debut team to manufacture the first ATV of MS Institutions to participate in BAJA SAE INDIA 2025 Series. The project plan executed meticulously in practice to design & manufacture a vehicle for a racing event. A predominant percentage of funding to meet the overall approximate budget of INR10 Lakhs was supported by the MS Institution Management.)
  4. Workshops and Training:
    • Regular sessions on design thinking, innovation, problem solving, decision making, strategy execution, go-to-market strategy business development, intellectual property, leadership, marketing strategies, and other essential skills required to run successful startups.
  5. Networking Opportunities:
    • Connecting innovators with potential investors, industry experts, and potential collaborators to accelerate growth and market entry.
